A truly fascinating and innovative conversion of a historic building located in the vibrant heart of London into a mixed-use development comprising 2 retail and commercial units alongside 16 thoughtfully designed residential units.
The project mandated achieving a minimum Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of C for all the residential units to ensure energy efficiency and sustainability, while the commercial elements were required to meet a higher standard with a minimum EPC rating of B to comply with stricter environmental and regulatory standards.
WEST STREET – RETFORD
Willowtree were appointed to provide the MEP concept design for this new mixed use development comprising of 8 apartments and 3 retail units located over 3 floors. The development is a high profile scheme proposed right in the heart of Retford town centre on West Street. High efficiency gas condensing boilers, natural and mechanical ventilation systems along with heating via radiators were implemented to provide a fully Building Regulations compliant scheme.
Automatic opening vents and dry risers were implemented to satisfy the fire strategy. Photovoltaic panels are being considered to ensure the apartments and building comply with SAP requirements.
