Burgess Park – 100 Bed Care Home
This new home specializes in nursing, residential, dementia, and short-term respite care for up to ninety-nine residents. It offers affordable luxury care in Southwark while maintaining a strong sense of community.The project earned BREEAM Excellent, met London Plan standards, and reduced CO2 by 40% over Building Regulations. We collaborated with the design team to deliver a fully coordinated 3D BIM model, ensuring service coordination and proven distribution strategies.
Laurels Care Home – 65 Bed Care home
WDA were appointed to undertake the complete MEP design responsibilities for a brand-new 65-bedroom care home along with an adjacent staff apartment block located in Draycott. The project’s funding body stipulated that the entire development must operate fully on electric power. To successfully meet this stringent requirement and satisfy the project brief, the design incorporated Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points.
Raunds Care Home – 78 Bedroom Care Home
Planning has been approved for a new 78- bedroom care home and staff accommodation block in Raunds – Willowtree Design Associates are delighted to have been appointed to provide the RIBA Stage 0 – 7 MEP design duties on this project. Due to project funders and their sustainability requirements this care home had to be redesigned from gas to fully electric.

Willowtree Design Studios Ltd handled the MEP design and sustainability, including LED lighting, high-efficiency gas boilers, natural and mechanical ventilation, and low surface temperature radiators for a controlled heating system. Video entry, CCTV, and Nurse Call systems enhanced the design to deliver a fully operational building.
